Statement of Intent.

My practice will now explore the restricted voice within the taboo of our fickle society. I will construct narratives which will explore the feeling / experience of what is like for a person to have a restricted voice.

In these narratives, the banal of our everyday is to be an integral part of the scenes / work as the everyday is an important part of the experience within this restriction to begin with, meaning society itself is part of the issue.

My intent is to create a series of photographic / film 35mm slide aerochrome images which form part of this series. The reason for using infrared is simply this film sees beyond what our fickle society sees. The use of models, to represent each diverse person that may experience this. There will be more than one person per image, and sometimes the place itself is so banal that the intent here is show how banal our surroundings can be perceived.

I also intend on creating a 5 minute digital video which directly relates to the original series.

The video may also be an infrared digital construction.

Time frame for this project will be 8 weeks. I will complete the first film series within the first 2 weeks as this will need to be posted to America for developing. The remaining 6 weeks will be constructed, hiring models, and editing the video to see this project to fruition.
