New Artist inspiration - Gregory Crewdson
This is one of my new inspirations. It makes sense as Gregory references David Lynch in his talk on the link attached. I also set up scenes so I am aiming for this type of aesthetics going forward. I like the way he choreographs light to tell a story. He likes to have a certain ambiance which is Theatrical in nature. Also the sense of looking at something familiar and ordinary but is dinged with beauty and terror. I might add in some mundane aspects to my work as also part of the everyday and familiar - mixed with beauty and terror sounds appealing to me.
